The Grand Dragon Ladakh is owned and operated by Abdu family from Leh. We have been in the hotel and hospitality business since 1974 when Ladakh was first opened to visitors form around the world. At that time the enterprinsing Din Mohammed of the Abdu family, opened our first establishment - the Dragon Hotel - a fully seviced facility. The Hotel blends tradional architecture with luxurious accommodations to create a unique experience in northern India. We can also boast a 'Green' philosophy as we have 95 solar panels to help heat the water for central heating, and bathrooms. The under-floor heation of the tiled bathrooms is also supplied by hot water. All windows are double-glazed and the hotel including the water supply, are well insulated to conserve energy and to make your stay luxuriously comfortable, even in winter.
